Loneliness
Humans fear it because it is not in our nature to want to be lonely. We actually run from it and it can drive us mad. Basically we don’t want to have it by our side. But indifferently of our desire, it exists alongside us and it accompanies us all our lives from birth to death, even when we are unaware of its presence.
If you want it is like an invisible friend that likes to play with you. At times you seek its company, but when you realize how dangerous he is, you want to rip all connections and decide to never be lonely. This is the driving force through which we start making friends, some of them very good friends and also girlfriends/ boyfriends eventually marry and have kids.
Evidently we all agree that we are social beings and can attains happiness only together with other people or at least need their company and appreciation.
But I want to point out that loneliness is your best friend, because it will never leave you. You may feel it closer than God, or any other person or feeling. It may drive you crazy, desperate, but it has many important things to teach you about yourself, about life, about the people around you. I say: Welcome back my friend! How can you help me?
